AI Product Description Generator
Generate compelling product descriptions for your e-commerce store with AI.
The AI product description generator turns a list of product facts into finished store copy. Paste the name, materials, specs and audience into Product Details (5,000 characters maximum) and press Generate Description. A 30-word brief for a 22 L recycled-polyester daypack came back as 313 words and 2,132 characters, exactly the figures the counter under the result reports.

About AI Product Description Generator
This page writes an e-commerce product description from the raw facts you already have. Whatever you type into Product Details is sent to the site's /api/ai/tool endpoint together with a fixed instruction to write as an e-commerce copywriter, highlight benefits as well as features, and answer in the language of the page you are on. There is no template and no fill-in-the-blank form: a spec sheet, a bullet list or three lines of notes all work, and the model decides the structure.
The controls are deliberately small. Product Details accepts up to 5,000 characters and shows a live counter; Generate Description turns into Generating... with a seconds timer while the request runs. The result appears under the Product Description heading with the name of the model that answered, a words and characters count, a Copy button, a .txt button that saves ai-product-description-result.txt, and Regenerate, which re-runs the same details for a second version.
What it does not do: it cannot read an image, a URL or a CSV of SKUs, so there is no bulk mode and no import from a product feed. It has no tone, length or format selector — you steer it by writing the instruction into Product Details yourself. Markdown emphasis is rendered, but heading marks such as ### are left as literal characters in the output. Generation is limited to ten requests per minute from one connection, and because the request is routed to whichever model is available, two runs on identical details give different wording.
Nothing you type is kept in the browser, but the text does leave your device: it goes to this site's server and on to a hosted language-model provider, so keep unreleased specs, supplier prices and anything under NDA out of the box.
Use Cases
How to use
Fill the Product Details box with your product name, features, benefits and target audience.
Click Generate Description; the button shows Generating with a seconds counter while the copy is written.
Read the Product Description panel, where the result highlights the benefits and features you listed.
Check the word and character count below the text to see if it fits your listing's limits.
Press Copy to paste it into your store listing, or the .txt button to save it as ai-product-description-result.txt.
Click Regenerate for a second version of the copy, or add more details first for a richer description.
Pro Tips
- Product Details takes 5,000 characters, so paste the whole spec sheet rather than a one-line summary. The model invents nothing it was not given, and a longer brief is the difference between concrete copy and filler.
- The output language follows the page, not your input. Type English specs on the German page and you get German copy; to change language, switch the URL rather than the text you paste.
- Add your own instruction as the last line of Product Details — for example 'maximum 120 words, technical tone, no emoji'. There is no tone or length selector, and the whole box is passed to the model as your request.
- Check the words and characters count under the result before copying: marketplaces cap the description field, and the tool happily returns 300 words when your listing accepts 150.
- Regenerate keeps your Product Details and asks again, so run it twice and compare. Each run may be answered by a different model, which is why the second version can be structured completely differently.
Troubleshooting
The result panel shows 'Network error. Please try again.' instead of a description.
The request was refused, almost always because more than ten generations were sent from your connection in the same minute. Wait a minute and press Generate Description again; the text you typed stays in Product Details, so nothing is lost.
The Generate Description button is greyed out and does not respond to clicks.
It is disabled while Product Details is empty or contains only spaces, and again while the run is in progress and the button reads Generating... Type at least one real character, or wait for the seconds counter to stop.
The counter is stuck at 5000 / 5000 and the end of my spec sheet is missing.
Product Details is capped at 5,000 characters and stops accepting input there. Cut the sheet down to the facts that sell — materials, dimensions, what it fits, who it is for — or generate one section at a time and join the results yourself.
The description is full of ### and ** characters when I paste it into my store.
The result panel renders **bold** and *italics* but leaves Markdown heading marks as literal text. Delete the ### lines after pasting, or add 'no headings, plain paragraphs' as the last line of Product Details so the model does not produce them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. There is no account, no credit card and no export paywall — you can generate, copy and download descriptions without signing in. The only limit is ten generations a minute from the same connection, which exists to stop scripted abuse rather than to sell an upgrade. If you hit it, the page shows a network error message and you can try again after a minute.
Yes. The output is plain text with Markdown emphasis, which pastes cleanly into the Shopify product description editor. Copy the result, paste it into the rich-text field, then delete any leftover ### characters, since Markdown heading marks are not converted here. Add your own H2 headings in the editor if your theme styles them.
Yes. Paste the result into the WooCommerce product Description tab for the long copy, or into Short description for a trimmed version — ask for 'maximum 40 words' in Product Details to get one. The tool produces no HTML markup, so the WordPress editor keeps its own formatting rather than fighting imported tags.
No. This tool reads text only: there is no file picker, no drag-and-drop area and no image URL field, so a photo cannot be analysed here. Type the facts you can see in the picture — material, colour, dimensions, what it fits — and the description will be built from those instead.
It depends on the brief. A 30-word brief for a 22 L daypack produced 313 words and 2,132 characters in one run, which the counter under the result reported. Ask for a length in Product Details — 'about 120 words' — if you need to fit a field limit, and check the counter before you copy.
The language of the page, not the language you typed. The page sends its own locale with your request, so the English page answers in English even if the specs are in Spanish. To get another language, open that language's version of this tool and paste the same details there.
Yes. The text is yours to publish, including on commercial storefronts and marketplaces. Read it first: the model writes confident claims such as 'waterproof' or 'lifetime warranty' from thin evidence, and a marketplace can pull a listing over a claim you cannot back up. Keep only the statements your product data supports.
Ten per minute from one connection. Past that the request is refused and the panel shows the network error message until the minute rolls over. For a catalogue, work in batches of ten and paste each result into your store before starting the next batch; there is no queue or bulk upload here.
Two reasons. The request is routed to whichever hosted model is available at that moment, and the name of the one that answered is printed under the result, so consecutive runs are often different models. The generation is also sampled rather than deterministic, so even the same model rewords the copy on a second attempt.
No. It has no access to your product data, test reports or certifications, and it will happily write 'certified organic' if that phrase fits the tone. Treat the output as a first draft: keep the numbers you supplied, delete claims you did not, and check anything regulated such as safety, health or environmental wording.
