AI Text Improver
Improve your text for clarity, flow, and impact with AI. Make every word count.
An AI text improver rewrites a passage you paste so it reads more clearly, fixing grammar and replacing passive, roundabout phrasing without changing your meaning. Paste up to 5,000 characters, click Improve Text, and the rewrite arrives in about ten seconds: “it was decided by us that we will be moving the deadline” came back as “we agreed to push the deadline back to next week”.

About AI Text Improver
The AI Text Improver edits text you already have. You paste a draft into the Input Text box — an email, a paragraph of a report, a product blurb — and the page sends it to an editing model with one instruction: improve it for clarity, flow and impact, and answer in the language of the page. The rewrite appears in the Improved Text panel within about ten seconds, next to the model that produced it, a word and character count, a Copy button, a .txt download and a Regenerate button.
It edits; it does not research. The model reorders sentences, removes padding, turns passive constructions into active ones and repairs grammar and punctuation, but it works only from the words you gave it. It cannot check a fact, follow a link or keep a citation honest, and it can quietly harden a hedge into a claim, so read the rewrite against your original before you send it. It often adds a short note listing what it changed, and may return two or three labelled versions instead of one.
One request takes up to 5,000 characters — roughly 800 words — as the counter under the box shows, and the reply is capped at about 2,048 tokens, so a long input can come back condensed rather than fully rewritten. Split longer documents into sections. There are no tone, length or style menus: to steer the result, put your instruction on the first line of the box or edit the source text, then use Regenerate, which phrases the same passage differently on each run. Improvements are limited to ten per minute per visitor.
Your text is sent over HTTPS to the model provider that performs the rewrite. Nothing you paste is tied to an account or kept in a history on this site, but as with any online AI editor, keep passwords, medical records and confidential material out of the box.
Use Cases
How to use
Paste or type the passage into the Input Text box — up to 5,000 characters, tracked by the counter under the field, which turns red past 4,500.
Check you are on the page in the language you want back: the tool rewrites in the language of the page, so the French version returns French.
Click Improve Text. The button switches to Generating... with a seconds counter while the editing model works; a short paragraph takes around ten seconds.
Read the rewrite in the Improved Text panel and compare it with your original for meaning, not only grammar. The word and character counts under it show how much was cut.
Click Regenerate if the first version is too loose or too formal; each run phrases the same passage differently, so you can pick between them.
Click Copy to put the improved text on your clipboard, or the .txt button to download it as ai-text-improver-result.txt.
Pro Tips
- Paste one section at a time. The Input Text box stops accepting characters at 5,000 and the counter turns red at 4,500, so a whole document pasted in one go silently loses its tail.
- Regenerate is a second opinion, not a retry. The same paragraph comes back phrased differently on each run, so run it twice and keep the sentences you prefer from both versions.
- There is no tone selector here. Write the instruction on the first line of the box instead: "Rewrite the paragraph below in a plain, friendly tone, no jargon" turned a block of legalese into "As we discussed, could you please send the items as soon as possible?" and the instruction itself was not echoed back.
- The page decides the output language. The tool sends the language of the URL you are on, so open the English page for an English rewrite and the French, German or Spanish version of this page to get the improved text in that language.
- Read the word and character counts under the result before you accept it. A rewrite that grew by a third has usually added politeness, not clarity; delete the padding from your source and improve it again.
Troubleshooting
The Improve Text button is greyed out and clicking it does nothing.
The button stays disabled while the Input Text box is empty or holds only spaces, and while a request is still running. Type or paste at least one real character, or wait for the Generating... counter to stop, and the button becomes active again.
The end of my document is missing from the input box.
The box has a hard limit of 5,000 characters and refuses anything past it, which the "N / 5000" counter under the field makes visible. Split the document into sections of roughly 800 words and improve them one at a time.
A red box says "Rate limit exceeded. Please wait a moment."
The endpoint allows ten improvements per minute per visitor. The window opens with your first request and clears 60 seconds later, so wait a minute and click Improve Text again — your text stays in the box.
A red box says "Network error. Please try again." and no rewrite appears.
The request never reached the server: a dropped connection, an offline tab or a blocking extension. Reconnect, reload the page, paste the text again and retry. If the message persists on a working connection, the model provider is unreachable; wait a few minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, for the mechanics of writing. An editing model reliably fixes grammar and punctuation, replaces passive constructions, cuts repetition and shortens sentences — the pass above turned "it was decided by us that we will be moving the deadline" into "we agreed to push the deadline back". What it cannot do is know whether the point you are making is right, so it improves how your text reads, not what it claims.
There is no single best model, and the answer changes every few months. This page uses a general editing model reached through OpenRouter; the exact one is printed on the Model line under each result, so you always know what produced your rewrite. For a judgement about your own text, run the same paragraph twice with Regenerate and compare: the version you keep tells you more than any ranking.
Yes, and so can this page — the difference is the wrapper. In a chat you write the instruction yourself and manage the conversation; here the instruction "improve this text for clarity, flow and impact" is already attached, the output language follows the page, and the result arrives with a copy button, a .txt download and a word count. If you need a specific style, add your own line at the top of the box.
For most work, editing is the least contested use of a language model: you wrote the argument, the tool tidies the sentences. The exceptions are rules you are bound by. Universities, journals and some employers have their own policies on AI assistance, and a few ask you to declare it. Check the rule that applies to you, keep the ideas and the evidence your own, and reread the rewrite so you are not signing sentences you would not have written.
This one is free and needs no account or sign-up: paste, click Improve Text, copy the result. The only limits are practical ones — 5,000 characters per request and ten requests a minute per visitor — which is enough to work through a long document section by section. The page is funded by ads rather than by a subscription, so nothing is held back behind a paid tier.
Not with certainty. Detectors score statistical regularity — even word choice, low variation in sentence length — and they produce both false positives on plain, careful human prose and false negatives on lightly edited machine text, which is why no detector should decide anything on its own. Heavily rewritten human writing is flagged too, so keep your own sentences where they already work.
It depends on what is being assessed. If the task is your argument, using a tool to fix commas and cut padding is no more cheating than a spell checker or a colleague's proofread. If the task is your command of the language — a language exam, an application that asks for unassisted writing, a graded piece under an AI policy — then it is, and the policy will usually say so. Read the rule before you paste.
No. This is a text editor, not an image tool: it takes typed or pasted characters in the Input Text box and returns rewritten characters. It cannot sharpen a photo, upscale a scan or read text out of a screenshot. If you have an image, extract the words first with an OCR tool, paste the extracted text here, and then improve it.
There is nothing to install here. The tool runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or desktop, so an APK is not needed and no APK for this page exists — files advertised under that name elsewhere are not from us. Add the page to your home screen if you want a one-tap shortcut; it behaves like an app without the download.
Each pass accepts 5,000 characters, about 800 words, and the counter under the box shows how close you are. The reply is capped at roughly 2,048 tokens, so an input near the limit can come back condensed rather than fully rewritten — split it. The output language follows the page, and this tool is published in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Polish and Chinese.
