Method
Convert an area through exact square-metre factors. The international foot is 0.3048 m, so 1 ft² = 0.09290304 m² and 1 acre = 43560 ft². 1 ha = 10000 m²; 1 km² = 100 ha. Squared units require squared length factors. Field and room presets are illustrations. Perimeter alone cannot determine area; regional land units and survey feet are not implemented.
Scalar input: at most 256 UTF-16 units, 100 significant digits and exponent −100…100. Use complete decimal numbers; no suffixes or grouping in single mode. Dot is decimal; a decimal comma is also accepted only in comma-decimal locales. Negative quantities are rejected; zero is valid, empty is not zero.

About Area Converter
Every unit on this page is stored as a factor against the square metre, so a conversion is one multiplication and one division rather than a chain of steps that accumulates error. The ten units are square millimetres, square centimetres, square inches, square metres, square feet, square yards, acres, hectares, square kilometres and square miles. Enter a value, choose the unit in the From menu, and the result list beneath shows all ten at once with the source unit highlighted.
Two controls sit on each result row. The clipboard button copies just that number, so you can take 107639.1 ft2 out of a hectare without selecting text by hand.
